[GLENGRANT] The Glengrant 12Y (글렌그란트 12년)

위린이의 위스키 리뷰는 매우 주관적인 리뷰입니다. 참고 부탁드립니다.

 

"The Glen"이라는 이름이 들어가는 위스키는 참 많다. 세계에서 가장 생산량이 많은 글렌피딕부터 글렌리벳, 글렌드로낙, 글렌고인 등등.. 의 굉장히 많은 글렌 시리즈가 있지만, 처음 먹어본 것은 이 글렌그란트이다. (오잉? 글렌피딕은?)

 

한국의 위스키 성지에서 비교적 저렴한 가격으로 구매하셨고 앞으로 글렌- 시리즈 12년들을 모아가면서 리뷰를 진행할 예정이다. (해야할 것들이 아직 산더미군..)

보틀의 뒷면에는 이렇다할 설명이 적혀있지 않고, 박스의 뒷면에는 아래와 같이 설명이 적혀있으니 참고하시기 바랍니다.

Tasting Notes (오피셜)

• Colour : Bright golden coour.
• Nose : Aromas of orchard fruits and vanilla.
• Palate : The lalate reveals mouth-watering layers of apple pie, toffee, caramel and almonds.
• Finish : Soft summer fruits linger with honey and hints of spice.

 

Tasting Notes (개인 테이스팅 노트)

• Color : 투명한 노란색 느낌으로, 공식에 적혀있는대로 밝은 황금색을 띄고 있다.
• Aroma : 처음에 상큼한 과실향이 치고 올라오면서 알콜도 조금 올라온다. 오피셜에는 바닐라향이 올라온다고 적혀있지만 나에게는 과실향이 지배적인 느낌이 든다. 미세하게 바닐라향이 올라오는거같다.
• Taste : 어.. 애플파이는 잘 모르겠고.. 전체적으로 견과류 느낌이 강하게 나고 스파이시도 꽤 크게 들어온다.
• Finish : 피니시는 길지 않은 편이며, 약간의 단맛과 견과류가 올라오는 느낌이다.

총평 : 전체적으로 산뜻하다 라는 느낌이 들며 가볍게 마시기 좋은 위스키인거 같다. 개인적으로 견과류를 좋아하며, 견과류를 느낄 수 있어서 좋았고 가격대도 생각보다 저렴하게 구입해서 만족한다. 사실 처음에 오픈해서 먹었을땐 별로라고 생각했지만, 에어링이 된 후에 마셨을때는 확실히 과실향이 치고 들어오는 느낌이였다. 역시 위스키는 어느정도 오픈 후 시간이 지나야 맛있는 느낌이 든다. 그리고 항상 다 마신 후 5분 정도 뒤에 잔향을 맡아보는데 과실향은 날라가고 무거운 견과류 느낌만 남아있는것 같아서 조금 아쉽긴하다. 싱글 몰트 입문하기에 괜찮은 가격이라는 생각이 들며, 보인다면 한병 구매해서 마셔보길 권장한다.
